SUMMARY?OF?JOB?RESPONSIBILITIES:
The?Design?Engineer?works?as?project?manager?on?advanced?design?projects.?Responsible?for?the?research,?design?and?management?of?basic?and?advanced?projects?related?to?new?products?and?product?improvements.
REPORTING?TO:?Director,?BAND-IT?China
DUTIES?AND?RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Actively?researches?new?technology?for?design?projects.
? Handles?updating?and?creating?drawings.
? Work?with?sales?team,?and?communicate?with?customer?to?design?the?necessary?bracket?/?accessories
? Designs?new?products?and?machine?parts.
? Details?new?product?and?machine?parts?for?final?design.
? Assists?and?is?a?team?member?for?new?product?developments,?design?improvements?and?testing.
? Confers?with?the?appropriate?personnel?regarding?feasibility?of?design.
? Sends?completed?drawing?package?to?vendors?for?quotes?as?required.
? Constantly?looking?for?ways?to?improve?processes?associated?with?assigned?tasks.
? Prepares?written?summary?of?all?assigned?activities?performed?at?least?once?a?month.
? Participates?in?the?continuous?improvement?process?by?presenting?problems?and?possible?solutions?to?the?appropriate?personnel.
? Writes?test?plan,?sets?up?life?cycle?testing?and?analyzes?results.
? Calculates?forces,?motions?and?strength?of?components.
? Performs?preliminary?tests?to?verify?design?input?and?functionality?by?utilizing?F.M.E.A.?as?part?of?the?design?process.
? Works?with?the?Manager?and/or?Patent?Attorney?to?determine?patent?feasibility?and?provide?necessary?documentation.
