ESSENTIAL?FUNCTIONS:
? Identify?competitive?sources?within?China?for?key?commodities?as?directed?by?Global?Supply?Chain??Manager
? Effectively?source?assigned?commodities?for?maximum?profitability?and?meeting?price?targets?for?new?product?development
? ?Work?as?part?of?joint?Elkhart/Kunshan?product?development?team?providing?timely?support?for?new?product?development.?Meetings?attendance?(via?phone)?is?mandatory?for?product?team?as?directed?by?Global?Supply?Chain??Manager
? Work?as?part?of?joint?sourcing?committee?making?timely?and?effective?sourcing?decisions
? Work?closely?with?Elkhart?Engineering?team?providing?timely?RFQ?responses
? Assess?potential?suppliers?in?the?areas?of?business?and?cultural?compatibility,?quality,?and?capacity
? Monitor?supplier?performance?and?improve?overall?supplier?performance?on?key?metrics?(i.e.?–?quality,?delivery,?service,?&?cost?improvement).
? Monitor?major?cost?factors?affecting?supplier?cost?performance?
? Work?closely?with?other?departments?to?achieve?the?organizational?objectives
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor’s?degree?in?mechanical?engineering,?business,?business?administration?or?related?field.?
? 2?to?5?years?sourcing?experience?or?SDE?experience?or?a?combination?thereof.
? Computer?literacy?a?must,?QAD?experience?is?a?plus.
? Minimum?3?years?experience?in?progressive?complete?metal?stamping,?fine?blanking?or?stamped?metal?products.?Experience?with?or?procurement?of?CNC?punch?press?or?laser?cut?materials?a?definite?plus.
? Basic?knowledge?of?Lean?manufacturing?concepts.
? Solid?knowledge?of?VA/VE?concepts?including?material?substitution.
? Solid?knowledge?manufacturing?costing?models?a?significant?plus.
? Understand?ISO?9001/?ISO/TS?16949?quality?management?system?and?basic?quality?tools;?able?to?assess?sound?use?of?Quality?and?Manufacturing?processes,?mistake-proofing?etc.
? Excellent?organizational?skills?with?the?ability?to?work?in?a?Team?environment
? Being?aggressive?and?mature?and?able?to?work?under?high?pressure.
? Excellent?written?and?verbal?skills?in?English
