Primary?Responsibilities1.??Responsible?for?analyzing?relationships?between?battery?performance,?system?function,?and?vehicle?application?requirements?for?automotive?energy?storage?applications.2.?The?candidate?should?derive?the?cell?statement?of?requirements?(SOR)?based?on?battery?system?SOR?and?then?provide?functional?decomposition?of?vehicle?level?requirements?and?transfer?these?into?battery?and?cell?level?requirements.3.?Additionally,?the?candidate?will?be?responsible?for?understanding?how?certain?changes?to?the?battery?impact?function.?4.?The?candidate?will?be?expected?to?develop?a?broad?understanding?of?automotive?batteries,?including?how?the?cell?relates?to?the?system,?how?the?system?relates?to?the?vehicle,?and?how?the?vehicle?is?impacted?by?its?application?requirements?(both?consumer?and?regulatory).5.?In?addition,?this?candidate?will?be?expected?to?be?familiar?with?cell?design?and?the?process?to?manufacturing?cells?so?that?he?or?she?could?be?the?bridge?between?battery?cell?design?team?and?battery?system?design?team.Education/Experience?·?????????Masters?Degree?or?above?in?Chemical?Engineering,?Mechanical?Engineering,?Power?Engineering,?or?related?disciplines.??PhD?preferred.·?????????2+?years’?experience?in?product?development?environment·?????????Experience?with?battery?testing,?including?cycle?life,?performance?characterization·?????????Experience?in?battery?cell?design?and?the?process?to?manufacturing?cells·?????????Experience?at?an?automotive?OEM?or?tier?1?automotive?supplier·?????????Experience?in?field?of?Hybrid-Electric?or?Electric?vehicle?automotive?battery?design?preferred·?????????Must?be?able?to?work?effectively?across?organizations?and?in?a?team?environment.·?????????Good?organizational?and?communication?skills.·?????????Excellent?oral?and?written?communication?skills·?????????Proficiency?in?English,?oral?and?written
